Recently I read a few articles about how the number of child criminals are increasing year by year!!! It is shocking as well as sad to realise the fact that the new generation is quite prone to having criminal minds!! And I think there is an unavoidable hand of media in this. When media spread negative vibes, not only kids but people of all age ranges are affected!!
The 'Soumya murder case' that took place in Kerala shocked everyone. The culprit raped the girl who got fatally injured and that too in the railway tracks!! The news article on Hyderabad times claims that the reports on the misuse of street children are increasing!!!
What should we do? How can we protect the new generation?
Parents should be very careful on what our children are watching on the television and internet. We should make sure that children should learn to be careful as well as differentiate between what is good and what is bad for them!!!
In some states there are organizations like Shishu Bhavan that provides the children with shelter and also ensures their dietary requirements.
Wouldn't it be a better life for the street kids to have food, shelter and education with support from organizations like this than to be on the streets begging or resorting to other criminal acts to sustain their life.

I hate to read the issue and like to close my eyes so not to be hurt. But yeah the truth is some initiative has to be take rather than closing eyes. MAybe the legal repurcussions should be strongest for child abuse...
